2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Rebecca Rowlands. I could never stop bigging this girl up, not only is she my cousin but she spoke alongside Jill Briscoe and Francis Chan at this years Founders week in Chicago. With a topic of suffering its easy for us to believe its not relevant for us unless we’re going though utter darknesss…well it is. Suffering threatens to tear us from our God, it can cause us to crumble and to lose heart.. yet, ‘todays struggle is tomorrow’s glory’ there is purpose in our pain, and our pain will one day bear an eternal weight in glory. Yes, life in the already is hard and disappointment will come, but these trials cannot reverse the promises of our God. Listen to it for yourselves….
